Association SENAMI, 2 Allée Jean Roy- 37000 TOURS.
On the 26, 27 and 28 of April 2007, we took part in the manisfestation "Cit'es artiste" in the area of Fontaines in
We constituted an album of pictures that you can consult on this blog. This manifestation was a great opportunity to meet artists of all horizons... We were present during the 3 days with Olivia, who represents the association "Saveurs et Cultures du Monde" (person in charge for the Tassilishop store about which we already spoke you). Different associations were represented:
- Auprès de mon Art exposure and projections on the topic of the festival
- Djanga Adoum Mahmat Chadian painting
- Mystik'arts: painting
- Association l'Art Rescousse
- Semra Nogrou: Eastern painting
- Association Senami: Charly D'Almeida, Beninese painter
Our objective was to present our association and in particular the training ground project. It was our “first manifestation” and that enabled us to make known ourselves. Indeed, Patrick Coffi- who had already met M.JAUZENQUE, "Conseiller Technique, action locale et territoriale", member of the Cabinet of the Minister for Culture (RDDV) - could exchange some words with M. Le Ministre for the Culture Mr. Donnedieu de Vabre. We must contact again very soon.
We make a point of thanking particularly Iman and Jean Paul Lanneau, the coordinators of this manifestation.
As we told you before, the project of the sporting structure advances. We contacted persons in charge (Clubs, Mairies, associations) for various disciplines (Judo, fight, and French box). Some promise to us material and councils.....
I would like to greet a friend (William...) by putting some photographs in this heading and to greet all people that I met in
We keep you informed as our projects progress.
Summarize of our actions:
The media library project is the heaviest project and required more time than our other actions. Then, we decided to put the priority on the training ground and the sporting projects. Indeed, to date, we have more contacts concerning both of 2 last actions. We’re still waiting for addresses of Benineses artists to optimize our training ground project.
During a very next trip in Cotonou, Patrick Coffi must sign a protocol to get a place. This protocol must include financial conditions, work of the craftsmen and various other points. In the same time, he will look for sportsmen ready to engage themselves within actions of Senami.
We expect a lot from this trip, especially because it should be a concrete beginning of our actions.
We are also thinking a lot (in a very intense way!) for organizing an event to collect money and adhesion.
Moreover, we are preparing files of request for subsidies to administrations.
Gradually, we are building our way. We present our association and the word-of-mouth process is well working. Many of you give us advices, encouragements and contacts...
By this way, we met Mr. JAUZENQUE, "Technical adviser, local and territorial action", member of the Cabinet of the Minister for the Culture (RDDV). We presented Senami to him and have to contact him later on, because of the next presidential elections...
In addition, we are in touch with Olivia de Souza of the store Tassilishop (street Courteline in Tours). Olivia has the same objective that us and is curently in contact with several Beninese artists.
We’ve contacted Dieudonné Gnammankou, adviser in the editorial offices of the newspaper "CULTURES CONTEMPORAINES", thanks to the person in charge for the Tassilishop store. We will keep you informed of the future of these events...
